Attendance Information

Attendance Hotline: (815) 439-3410

Timber Ridge has voice mail and an attendance line to report student absences. The voice mail system can be accessed by calling the school's number - (815) 439-3410. Between 7:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M., all calls will go through our main office. The office will not transfer any calls to classrooms during school hours.

On days and times when the office staff is not working, an automated directory can transfer calls to extensions within the building and then to voice mail. There is a 20-second delay once the call is transferred to allow time to pick up the extension before the call is switched to voice mail. If you get some "dead air", you are not cut off; the phone is just ringing in the room or office.

The attendance line will enable our students' parents to access the attendance voice mailbox without going through the office switchboard during regular school hours. This line may be used to report your child's absence before 7:15 A.M. In any event, we ask that any child's absence be called in by 9:00 A.M. If your child is not called in, we are required to call your home or place of employment to find out why your student is not in school.

Any requests for homework need to be called in by 9:00 A.M. We have found that for single day absences, it is best for the student to get any missed work directly from the teachers when they return to school the following day. Because of the volume of books a student is required to have, we will not send homework with another student.
