The Board of Education recognized Aisha Chavda, a 7th grader at Timber Ridge Middle School, on Wednesday because she will represent Illinois at the National Civics Bee in November in Washington, D.C. Chavda won the local bee in May and the state bee in Springfield in July! Good luck Chavda! #202proud

What a day! The 73rd Plainfield Community Homecoming Parade filled downtown with music, school spirit, and community pride this past weekend!
This year’s theme, “Literary Legends – Celebrating Famous Characters from the Last 100 Years,” honored the Plainfield Area Public Library’s centennial. Leading the parade was Grand Marshal Mindy Jackson, the library’s School Services Librarian, who has spent decades inspiring a love of reading in District 202 students. 📚✨
A wonderful tradition for decades, the parade once again showcased the energy, talent, and pride of our schools and community.

Timber Ridge Middle School is hosting a Back to School Bash this Friday, August 22nd, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Bring your family out for only $10 per family or $5 per student and enjoy carnival-type games, food trucks (extra cost), tournaments, raffles, and more! Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 per ticket or $10 an arm's length for a chance to win amazing prizes such as White Sox tickets, Portillo's gift cards, Chicago Fire Club Level tickets, Admission to Medieval Times, and much, much more. We can't wait to see you there.
**Elementary School students must be accompanied by an adult to attend.

TR 7th and 8th Grade Parents, Tomorrow is the first day of tryouts. If your child is planning on trying out for volleyball or soccer or participating in Cross Country, they are required to have a current sports physical on file with the school along with the concussion form complete which is on our athletics webpage.
Your child CANNOT tryout if they do not have a current sports physical on file. They are only good for 13 months from the date of the physical. We are currently missing a significant amount of current physicals from the students who signed up to tryout or participate.
Please make sure that your child brings the current physical to school with them tomorrow or they will be sent home and unable to tryout.
