First Quarter Update: 2019-2020

End of the Quarter updates:

I wanted to share some updates as we end the first quarter. We have gotten off to a great start at TRMS with a number of different events and activities.

  • Grades will be available on Home Access Center after school this Wednesday
  • I am very proud of our community as we raised over 1700 non-perishable food times to give to our local food pantries.
  • We raised over $300 during our dodgeball tournament that will be donated to Elyssa’s Mission, the non-for-profit agency that runs our S.O.S. program.
  • Our students and staff and done well with our Capturing Kids Heart theme of “If you capture a kid’s heart, you capture a kid’s mind”.
  • Our clubs have kicked off and have gotten several students participating in after school activities.
  • Our Cross Country, Girls Volleyball, and Boys Soccer teams had solid seasons and we are proud of their efforts.

As for 2nd quarter, it continues to be filled with a number of activities:

  • We are to provide an opportunity for extra assistance to our students during study hall with our PAW Patrol and after school on Tuesdays/Thursdays with our After the Bell program
  • Our next athletic season is underway with our Boys Basketball, Cheerleading and Wrestling teams.
  • Next Wednesday will be our Unity Day where we are asking that all our staff and students wear Orange so that we are together against bullying and united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion.
  • Our Halloween Dance will be next Friday, October 25, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
  • Our 8th grade students will take part in the S.O.S. program on November 6 during first period
  • We have our Veterans Day breakfast (click on the link for more information) on November 11.
  • Parent Teacher conferences will be on:
    • November 25: 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm
    • November 26: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm

Until December…

Best Regards,

Constantine “Dean” Kariotakis
