Eight District 202 high school students have earned recognition as scholars in the 2019-20 National Hispanic Recognition Program based on their excellent academic performance.
Students who score in the top 2.5 percent of Latino and Hispanic students who take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test are invited to apply for the recognition.
Colleges use the distinction to identify academically exceptional Hispanic/Latino students.
There is no scholarship awarded with this College Board-sponsored program.
The Hispanic Recognition Program considers students who identify as Hispanic or Latinx and are from the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Mariana Islands, the Marshall Islands, and/or attend school abroad.
